Journal of Design Practice in the Built Environment is committed to upholding the integrity
and fairness of academic research.
The journal’s research ethics policy is guided by the principles of the Committee on
Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors must adhere to the following:
① Submitted manuscripts must represent original work and must not have been previously
published or be under consideration by another journal.
② Proper acknowledgment and citation must be provided when using the work or ideas of
others.
③ Only individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research should be
listed as co-authors, and all authors share responsibility for the content of the
manuscript.
④ Any conflict of interest related to the research must be clearly disclosed.
Any form of research misconduct, including plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication,
and data falsification, is strictly prohibited.
Manuscripts that have already been published or accepted for publication elsewhere are
not eligible for submission to this journal.
Reviewers must adhere to the following:
① Conduct reviews in an objective and impartial manner.
② Maintain confidentiality and must not disclose any information obtained during the
review process.
③ Decline to review manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists.
The Editorial Board adheres to the following principles:
① Decisions regarding publication are made fairly based on academic merit and review
outcomes.
② No discrimination is made on the basis of gender, institutional affiliation, nationality, or
any other non-academic factors.
③ The anonymity of reviewers and the confidentiality of the review process are strictly
protected.
If research misconduct is identified, the following actions may be taken:
① Retraction of the published article
② Notification of the author(s) and their affiliated institution(s)
③ Restriction on future submissions for a specified period
If necessary, the Editorial Board may establish a separate ethics committee to investigate
and deliberate on the matter.
